He/she will develop mathematical models of SARS-Cov-2 transmission both within hospitals and in the general community; analyse epidemiological data to inform these models; and run simulation studies to evaluate the impact of a range of control measures. The project may also involve the evaluation of the indirect burden of Covid-19 on other conditions such as HCV-associated diseases.

The post-holder will work under the supervision of Kévin Jean, in collaboration with members of a research team involving the Cnam (http://mesurs.cnam.fr/, head: Laura Temime) and the Pasteur Institute (https://research.pasteur.fr/fr/member/lulla-opatowski/) that develops various projects on healthcare-based Covid-19 transmission modelling in different contexts, including France and Egypt.
