Contexte
The team of Environmental Epidemiology at the Inserm IAB research center in Grenoble is seeking to welcome a research engineer. We are looking for applicants interested in working on epidemiological studies aimed at characterizing the health effects of chemicals with widespread exposure in the general population.
Missions / Contenu du poste
The position is part of the EU-funded ENDOMIX project (https://endomix.eu ). The specific objectives of the position are to: 1) test whether early exposure to chemicals (phenols, phthalates, PFAS, pesticides, etc.) can disturb immune function during pregnancy and early infancy, and 2) determine if the effects of these chemicals on child health can be mediated by the disruption of immune function. We will rely on the SEPAGES cohort (https://cohorte-sepages.fr/en). Biomarkers of exposure have been measured in maternal blood or urine collected during pregnancy, while cytokines have been measured in maternal and infant serum. The effects of both individual chemicals and mixtures will be investigated using state-of-the-art statistical models.
